We are in the middle of an exciting art challenge here in the Scoil Mhuire community.Even though the school building is closed we are still able to create and share wonderful things together .We are always so impressed and inspired by how creative our girls can be so we thought this was the perfect opportunity to showcase their talents by taking part in the “Getty Museum Challenge”. This is where people recreate famous works of art by using things they have at home. We are all spending a lot more time at home these days and we wanted to encourage our pupils( and teachers) to use their surroundings to be inspired to do something fun. Take a look at some of the creations below by our wonderful pupils and teachers. We would love everyone to get involved so please send any creations to your daughters class teacher by email. It will hopefully be a happy memory to look back on and a positive “quarantine art project “. Special thanks to muinteoir Karen Ui Chonnachtáin for “getting the wheels in motion” with this project.
